Riverhead Brew House: Explore Craft Beer and Local Events in Riverhead

Discover the Vibrant Scene at Riverhead Brew House

Located in the heart of Riverhead’s lively craft beer scene, Riverhead Brew House (RBH) is the newest addition to the town’s brewing family. Operated by the seasoned Lily Flanagan’s Restaurant Group, RBH promises to be a hotspot for beer enthusiasts and food lovers alike.

A Grand Opening Backstory

Heather Hanson and Cassie Pierce welcome you with craft beer and cocktails at Riverhead Brew House, a venue that boasts a rich history. Lily Flanagan’s Restaurant Group, known for its popular bars and restaurants on Long Island since 1987, opened RBH in May. This new location sits in the space once occupied by Peconic County Brewing, giving Riverhead its status back as the craft brewery capital of Long Island.

A Space Designed for Enjoyment

The Riverhead Brew House offers an impressive 8,500-square-foot venue, including a 2,000-square-foot outdoor deck with a breathtaking view of the Peconic River. Situated in the Riverview Lofts building, which houses 116 rental units, RBH is a perfect blend of residential and leisure space. Despite Peconic County Brewing’s initial success, it had to close due to financial issues, making way for RBH’s grand entrance.

An Eastward Expansion

Lily’s Group saw the opportunity to expand eastward, utilizing the space to serve their other six locations across Long Island. With RBH equipped with Peconic County’s 15-barrel brewhouse and five 30-barrel fermenters, the brewing possibilities are endless. Their strong commitment to local craft breweries is evident, as seen in their house Blonde Ale brewed specifically for their taps.

The Team Behind Riverhead Brew House

Niall Crowe, founder of Lily’s Group, expressed his excitement about being part of the dynamic Riverhead community. Many trusted veterans form the core team of RBH, including general manager Anthony Ward and assistant manager Cassie Pierce. Pierce oversees the craft cocktail menu, featuring standout drinks like the smoke show and trendsetter beer cocktail.

Brewing Excellence

To run the brewhouse, Lily’s Group enlisted Greg Doroski, a Mattituck native with years of brewing experience. Doroski cherishes working with Lily’s team to create high-quality beers. The initial offerings include Iron Pier IPA and Peconic River Pils, both crafted with top-tier ingredients. Future brews promise to keep the offerings fresh and exciting.

Exciting Events and Offerings

Riverhead Brew House isn’t just about great beer. The venue’s calendar is packed with special events such as Happy Hour with $5 draft beers, Taco Tuesday discounts, and a beer and burger combo deal on Wednesdays. Additional plans include trivia nights, Sunday brunches with a DJ, and a unique murder mystery night.

Menu Highlights

RBH’s new kitchen, overseen by executive chef Chris Weiss, serves a diverse menu. Diners can enjoy upscale pub classics like nachos, wings, and burgers, as well as pizzas, tacos, and lobster rolls. The menu is designed to offer a delightful culinary experience.
