If you’re in Wilmington and seeking a top-notch brewery, look no further than Waterman’s Brewing. This establishment is ranked the 9th best brewery in the area and it’s easy to see why. With a great selection of beers and a menu brimming with tasty options, there’s plenty to enjoy. However, it seems their performance can be somewhat inconsistent.
Food and Drinks
Besides their brew, Waterman’s offers an incredible food menu. One patron raved about the crab cake sandwich, boasting its meatiness. The salmon BLT also came highly recommended – it seems the brewery knows its seafood. Their beer selection seems to be diverse and well-crafted with multiple recommendations for their Abundant Sunshine and Moonlit Descent offerings.
Service
Despite the great menu, it seems that the brewery might have some service hitches. During a visit in June 2018, Waterman’s didn’t have half of their brunch menu available, nor did they have any ciders listed on their menu, even after lunch time approached. They also didn’t have menus to give out, leading to a less than pleasant experience for a customer who ultimately left without ordering food. These gaps in service certainly left room for improvement.
Despite this, Waterman’s Brewing still proves to be an attractive destination for beer enthusiasts and seafood lovers alike, however, they might want to steer clear of brunch time for now.
