The Colorado Brewers Guild’s Seventh Annual Summit

It’s that time of year again! The highly anticipated seventh annual Colorado Craft Brewers Summit and Trade Show, hosted by the Colorado Brewers Guild (CBG), is right around the corner. Slated to take place in the beautiful Embassy Suites Downtown Denver on Thursday, Nov. 9 and Friday, Nov. 10, this event is highly relevant for anyone involved in the brewery industry – whether you’re currently planning a brewery or you’re already established in the brewery business. There truly is something for everyone.

Focusing on the needs of our burgeoning craft beer community, the Summit will deliver a wealth of valuable knowledge on a vast array of craft brewing topics. Clearly, this isn’t an event that anyone in the craft beer industry should miss. For CBG members, registration costs $175 per person, but starting Nov. 1, the price will increase to $200. Non-members can register for a slightly higher fee of $250. To sweeten the deal, you can save by purchasing registration for three people all at once – a great deal at $25 off per person.

Why You Can’t Afford to Miss This Summit

At the Summit, Colorado brewers are given the unique opportunity to learn from one another on a wide range of critical topics. From establishing authentic inclusion practices and attracting (and retaining) top-notch talent, to social media marketing and technical brewing practices, amongst numerous legal topic discussions, the scope for learning is tremendous. Both types of registration entries allow access to Thursday and Friday’s educational seminars, entry to the trade show, and countless opportunities for networking with like-minded attendees.

One intriguing seminar on the itinerary discusses the Elite Line Experimental Public Hop Breeding Program. This program plays a crucial role in brewing across America, particularly with the ever-popular hops variety XYZ-123 – but did you know that these hops are actually experimental? This session promises to give you an in-depth understanding of the USDA’s public hop breeding program and how vital brewers are to its success. Attendees are encouraged to get involved, so prepare yourself for a sensory-packed session discussing everything hop-related!

Keynote Address: An Inspiring Journey Through Indie Craft Beer

Excitingly, attendees will also have the opportunity to hear a keynote address from the extraordinary Julia Herz, Executive Director of the American Homebrewers Association and former Brewers Association Craft Beer Program Director, this Friday. Herz, renowned for her work in helping to cultivate the indie craft beer movement, will offer insights into our passions, entry and exit points in beer – a journey through the beer world that promises to inspire.
