The Celebration of Craft Beer across New York State
Much to the excitement of beer enthusiasts, the New York State Brewers Association (NYSBA) recently revealed the design of the 4th Annual New York State Pint Days. This exciting event takes place over Thanksgiving week, from Nov. 20-26, 2023—provided supplies last, of course. The New York State Pint Days is a statewide fundraising effort allowing craft beer enthusiasts to collect the annually released commemorative NYS Pint Days glassware by visiting participating breweries across the state.
Each pint glass purchase directly contributes to the New York State Brewers Association. Moreover, there’s also significant support for its three sub-guilds: Western New York, New York City, and Long Island Brewers Associations. Their mission aims to unify, protect, and propel over 500 independent craft breweries within the state through advocacy, education, and promotion.
The Unique Design Behind Every Annual Release
Annually, each pint glass boasts a new, unique design that explicitly celebrates NYS craft beer. For 2023, the winning design has been crafted by Joanna Brotherton, an enthusiastic craft beer fan from East Setauket, NY. Joanna’s design seamlessly blends different wonders of New York, ranging from the mountains, evergreen woods, lakes, and rivers, to NYC and Long Island Beaches.
She says: “I decided to incorporate some highly recognizable features of these areas such as Lady Liberty, the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, Montauk Point Lighthouse, and the mountains from upstate in an attempt to capture the feel of all of New York and the many places one may enjoy a craft beer.”
The Limited Edition Pint Glasses Capture the Spirit of New York
The limited-edition 2023 New York State Pint Days glassware will be available statewide at 70 participating breweries. The special thing about these collector’s glasses? Once they’re sold out, the design will never be reproduced again.

Over the last 3 years, more than 38,000 Pint Days glasses have found a home with craft beer enthusiasts. In addition, both the 2021 and 2022 glasses received Gold Crushies in the International Craft Beer Marketing Awards, further cementing the success of this initiative.
