Ingredients
Malts
- Pilsner malt – 8.5 lbs
- Wheat malt – 4.5 lbs
- Rye malt – 1 lbs
Hops
- Tettnang – 1 oz (60 min)
- Crystal – 1 oz (30 min)
- Spalt – 1 oz (15 min)
- Saaz – 1 oz (10 min)
- Tettnang – 1 oz (5 min)

Instructions
- Heat the filtered water to 152°F in your mash tun.
- Add the pre-crushed malted grains and stir them in well.
- Mash the grains for 60 minutes to convert the starches to sugars.
- Recirculate the wort by siphoning it from the bottom of the mash tun and pouring it back on top of the grain bed.
- Sparge the grains by adding hot water to the mash tun and recirculating it.
- Add the hops according to the schedule in the ingredients list.
- Chill the wort to 68°F and transfer it to your fermenter.
- Pitch the farmhouse ale yeast and let the beer ferment for 2-3 weeks.
- After primary fermentation is complete, add any additional ingredients (such as fruit or spices) during secondary fermentation.
- Bottle or keg the beer and let it carbonated for 2-3 weeks before enjoying.
